Every weekend we make a trip to the house to see what progress has been made during the week. Our rental house is 45 min away from our new house so it’s a trek to go see the house round trip. That being said, this weekend we pulled up and immediately noticed the house had been sheet-rocked!! We were shocked! The kids were so happy – the house actually felt like a home. Yay!
We could really see the open staircase, how long the entryway felt, and the arched built-in bookcase. It felt so open.
We could also really see electrical placements. The sconces in the master bathroom were hard to place without the sheetrock, flooring, and vanity so I’m hoping I got it right. If not, it’ll have to be changed when we move further along.
Initially in the primary bathroom I envisioned a black or dark grey floor. In the 12th hour we decided to scratch everything and go with a bright spa-like vibe. We found a beautiful marble-looking porcelain floor tile and Riad white tile for the shower walls. Once it came together I totally felt a peace about it.
This is one room I feel confident about all our decisions and can’t wait to enjoy it!
