I recently made over Parker’s closet using a stencil I created with my Cricut Explore Air 2. I found the pattern on the Cricut app and cut the design on 12X24 Mylar (purchased here).
It took a lot of trial and error to figure the best approach when stenciling (to avoid bleeding). I found that spraying the stencil with spray adhesive, allowing the adhesive to dry for 60 seconds and then pressing the stencil against the wall worked best. I used these round stencil sponge brushes to apply a thin layer of paint to the stencil. After painting, I waited a couple minutes before peeling the stencil off the wall. I peeled the stencil off when the paint was still wet to avoid peeling the paint off.
I used Benjamin Moore, Ciao Bella for the hearts and Sherwin Williams, Alabaster as the base color. I made fun custom labels using my Cricut and these labels. I also purchased these baskets to add a pop of color and added storage to the space!
The closet turned out so good!! My sister and I always used to play “nail salon” in our closets growing up! I hope our girls enjoy playing in their fun closets one day too!
I’ve linked all the products I used for this project below!
