As I mentioned previously, we have another baby girl arriving later this month! When styling baby girl #2 nursery I wanted it to differ from Bennett’s room but also coordinate (since they very well could share a room one day). In Bennett’s room she had / has oversized Solid La Jolla baskets from Serena and Lily that not only look good, they are so practical! We’ve used them for so many things – Blankets, stuffed animals, towels, laundry, etc. You could even set a fiddle leaf fig or any other taller house plant in one of these! Such a cute look! I knew when styling baby girl #2 nursery I wanted to include a set of these baskets.
In this room I ordered two more La Jolla baskets but went with a color this time. In both rooms we have one medium and one large basket (the large is perfect for bedding, we use the medium for laundry). The “natural” color is a beautiful yellow that goes so well with the rug in the nursery. These baskets are fun because each size comes in a different design – The medium basket I ordered has blue blocks which works well with the large natural basket.
Since we are turning Bennett’s room into a “big girl room” we also got a step stool from Serena and Lily to help her climb up on her new bed. We have another one of these stools in the kitchen that she moves around constantly. It’s the perfect size and weight for her to move around the house on her own to help her reach. This comes in handy when brushing teeth or baking (and also makes for precious pics). It’s adorable and again – Practical! I love the white dipped legs and the modern look.
Serena and Lily is a great resource when styling a kid’s space! I found so much inspiration from S&L when styling our playroom – It’s also where I found a few of our felt animal heads! I sourced their site and included a few of my favorite items for a kid’s room below.
The nursery is just about done and our baby girl is arriving any day now! Eeek!! I’m trying not to rush time but I’m looking forward to the day I get to create a shared girls room – Having a set of sisters is a dream come true!
Thanks for stopping by, friends!

The way everything in the room is different but yet coordinates so well makes for a very unique look for new baby girl’s room.
It’s so cute — so girly!
