Here lately we have been doing lots of odd and end things around the house. We put up the Christmas tree, hung the stockings, hung the cup rack, and put up curtains in the living room. I am anxious to get curtains hung in the bedrooms, as well (especially the master bedroom); however, we have 22 windows (crazy, right?) so we have to pace ourselves.
I am making an effort to avoid impulse buying. I see spaces in our home that need to be filled. Pictures in the hallway, shower curtain in the guest bath, a rug in the master, etc. – Every part of me want to go find things to fill these spaces right away! I know from experience, when I impulse buy, I usually find the perfect item later on when I’m not on the hunt that makes me regret my initial purchase. In turn, I buy and return things A LOT. I am trying to be patient and wait for unique items to come along that I absolutely LOVE before making the buy. It may take longer for our home to feel “complete” (for now), but I am OK with that.
I have received lots of comments on Instagram asking what color the walls are in our living / dining room – We painted all living spaces Shermin Williams “Mindful Gray”. Hence the name of my blog. 🙂 This color is the perfect gray, in my opinion. It is warm, yet crisp and light. It goes well with whites, tans, and black. The one color I was set on during the paint process was “Mindful Gray”.
Below are some of the latest pics! Enjoy and have a Merry Christmas!

I saw the picture of your dining room on Pinterest and although it’s an old post I was wondering if you remember where you got your chandelier. We are looking for one exactly like this… I found some similar but not quite the same. I would really appreciate a response! Blessings, Debbie
