I recently shared a picture of wood bead garland my husband and I made. I received quite a bit of feedback so I figured I’d share how we did it! I have loved wood bead garland for quite sometime. I love the beads that have a more natural look. I didn’t see beads that had the finish I liked but I did find raw wood balls that I loved. I bought a few different size balls from Hobby Lobby and came up with a pattern. My husband drilled through each ball, and I strung them through jute. Finally, I made tassels out of jute for the ends! That’s it – Super easy and affordable! I keep moving them around the house cause they look nice in lots of place.
See the guide below for a step-by-step guide to make your own. Of course, you can use pre-made beads but if you prefer a DIY project and/or can’t find the exact beads your looking for here is a guide to creating your own beads.
