I love decorating our mantle for Christmas! Honestly, through the year I feel like our mantle looks so sterile and bare. Christmas garland works perfectly in this space so I am usually chomping at the bit to get it up.
This year I decided to mix it up a bit and layer garland. I bought this chunky birch wood garland and this DIY garland kit! I made my own natural wood bead garland that pairs perfectly with the bulkier pinecone garland. I use these stocking holders to not only hold our stockings up also hold up some of the garland. They are heavy duty and can hold quite a bit of weight.
Because the distance between our mantle and TV is fairly small, I am not able to put a whole lot on the top of the mantle. Instead I opt for bottle brush trees on the ends. They add a bit of height and glam!
This year’s mantle is my favorite! I love all the texture and layers!
