I am about a year into this motherhood gig and boy have I learned a TON! As many of you know, I have a passion for interior design – What you may not know, I am equally as passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. This not only includes a healthy diet and regular exercise but also ensuring the products in our home are free of toxins and harsh chemicals.
This is the reason it took me WEEKS (I’m not over-exaggerating) to create our baby registry. There are so many products out there it can feel extremely overwhelming. I researched every single product on our registry to ensure they were the safest option for our baby girl. Now fast forward ten months, I can honestly say what was a swing and what was a miss. I went back and looked at our registry, consolidated it, added to it, and complied a list of the absolute MUST HAVE baby products. This list is PERFECT for any expecting mom looking to create a registry, or ensure you’ve covered all your bases.
The only place we registered was Amazon. I was able to find everything there and it was super easy for friends and family to shop our registry! That being said, everything you see below is linked on Amazon! These products I have used personally and can honestly say we have loved them. I hope this list is helpful! Let’s get to it!
- Halo 100% Cotton Sleepsack – Our hospital sent us home with a fleece Halo Sleepsack; however, we found the cotton sleepsacks to work best. You can choose weather to leave babies arms in or out and are easy to put on. Bennett is almost a year old and still sleeps in a Halo Sleepsack.
- Zutano Cozy Fleece Baby Booties – Ok, these are the absolute best! These shoes are not only adorable… They actually stay on!
- Gerber Baby 3-pack Long Sleeve Mitten Cuff Onesies – I recommend buying a set of these in newborn sizes. We were flooded with clothes size 0-3 months but didn’t have any newborn clothes. Get one set of these and you’ll be set.
- Gerber Baby 12 Pack Sock Bundle – These are great because they come in a set of 12 and they fit most babies until 6 months of age.
- Burt’s Bees Baby Sleeper Pajamas Zip Front – You guys, these are our favorite PJs. They are a slim fit and come in the most adorable fabrics. Plus, they zip up the front (winner – winner)!
- Tula Ergonomic Carrier – This carrier is great because it grows with your baby and it relieves the pressure off your back.
- aden & anais Bamboo Muslin Swaddles, 3-pack – Absolutely love these patterns. They are so soft and huge. You can use them as a nursing cover or a swaddle.
- Skip Hop Vibrant Village Smart Lights Activity Gym – The design of this play gym is so sweet. The colors are soft with lots of white space. It plays music, lights up, and is interactive.
- Sophie the Giraffe – Ok, we did not initially register for a Sophie the Giraffe. We thought “$20+ for a giraffe teether?? No way” – We took the plunge and bought this toy / teether and it’s been Bennett’s favorite ever since. Best purchase.
- Fat Brain Toys Tobbles Neo – This is so fun for babies 6+ months. The blocks are weighed so babies can stack them in all sorts of ways.
- Reversible Mamaroo Infant Insert – This is needed if you plan on using your Mamaroo Swing when your baby is an infant.
- Mamaroo Baby Swing – Every house needs a Mamaroo. It looks like it came straight out of the Jetson’s movie. It connects to your phone, and has several “swing” options. It also plays white noise.
- Baby Play Mat – This mat is great because you can make it as big or small as you’d like. The pattern is on trend and it’s easy to wipe down.
- Grace Pack ‘n Play On the Go Playard – This is another item that is great for traveling and/or if you plan on keeping baby in your room the first few weeks/months. We bought this Pack ‘n Play with this mattress (and sheet) for her to sleep in before transitioning her to her crib.
- Boppy Nursing Pillow Cover – It’s extremely handy to have an extra Boppy cover for when baby spits up or milk gets all over the cover you’re using. This print is super cute!
- Boppy Nursing Pillow – Every mom needs a Boppy. Great for nursing, babies can lounge on it, and practice tummy time on it.
- Munchkin White Hot Infant Safety Spoons – This spoons are great because they turn white when placed in food too hot for baby!
- Natursutten Natural Rubber Pacifier – I love the way natural pacifiers look. I recommend purchasing one size up – The nipple runs small and is difficult for baby to latch onto.
- Phillips Avent Bottle Brush – This bottle brush works great with Avent bottles.
- Phillips Avent Natural Glass Bottle, 8 ounce – I recommend purchasing four 8 ounce bottles. These bottles are safe for baby (they are glass so you don’t have to worry about plastics) and they are easy to use and clean.
- The Big Book of Organic Baby Food – This book gives a ton of great recommendations about puree combinations, how to cook all sorts of foods for baby, and has a helpful index to easy find what you’re looking for.
- 4moms High Chair – The tray attached to this highchair is magnetic! 4moms makes bowls and plates that are magnetic to be used with this high chair to keep them from falling off and making a mess.
- Phillips Avent Natural Glass Bottle, 4 ounce – I recommend purchasing four of these 4 ounce bottles to be used before transiting baby to 8 ounce bottles.
- Silicone Baby Food Storage, 1 ounce (2 pack) – These are great for storing purees! Pop out a few cubes, heat them up and you’re good to go!
- Silicone Baby Food Storage, 5 ounce – This storage container is good for storage larger quantities of frozen baby foods.
- Breast Milk Storage Organizer – You may be wondering what this is – It’s used to store frozen milk bags. It’s spring loaded and great for storing frozen milk bags and keep them in order.
- Boon Lawn Countertop Drying Rack – This is super really popular and for good reason – It’s modern-looking and serves as a great drying rack. Boon also makes lots of add-ons to go with it!
- Munchkin Love-a-Bowls – This bowls are plastic but safe for baby (BPA free). They are spill-free, leak-free, and break-free.
- Boon Twig Drying Rack Accessory – This is an accessory to the Boon Lawn. Bottle nipples, pump parts, etc. can attach onto this twig.
- Burt’s Bees Burp Cloths, 5-pack – You cannot have too many burp cloths! These are the perfect size and come in cute patterns.
- Bumkins Waterproof, Stain Resistant Bibs, 3-pack – I love these because they are not bulky plastic and they are easy to rinse off.
- Thinkbaby No Spill Sippy Cup – These cups are free of BPAs, phthalates, nitrosamines, lead, PVC, PET, melamine and biologically harmful chemicals.
- Munchkin Dishwasher Basket – These are awesome for storing pump parts and bottle parts in the dishwasher!
- Crane USA Cool Mist Humidifier – This humidifier looks cool and pumps cool mist into the air. I prefer cool mist over warm mist to eliminate any and all bacteria associated with a warm mist humidifier.
- Storage Box Dresser Drawer Divider – These are great for keeping those tiny baby socks and hair bows organized in baby’s dresser.
- Marpac Dohm Classic White Noise Sound Machine – This White Noise machine is the bee knees! I was sad to move it into the nursery when Bennett moved into her crib. The sound is so peaceful.
- Lollipop Baby Camera – This camera is great for anyone looking to keep an eye on baby from their phone. However, I do not like that it connects to WiFi (due to radiation). We have a sitter come into our home so we prefer this option so we all have access to the camera at any time. If you are a stay at home mom, I suggest getting a digital baby monitor (like this one)!
- Babyletto Electric Recliner and Swivel Glider – I get it – This glider comes with a hefty price tag but you guys! It’s worth every penny! It reclines, glides, and charges your phone. It comes up high enough to also offer ample neck and back support.
- Babyletto Gelato 4-in-1 Convertible Crib – This crib is GREENGUARD Gold Certified – screened for 360 VOCs and over 10,000 chemicals; Meets ASTM international and U.S. CPSC safety standards. It is lead and phthalate safe, non-toxic finish – AND IT LOOKS GOOD!
- Magnolia Organics Fitted Crib Sheet – This sheet is made with GOTS CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON. It is literally the softest, thickest material. I love this sheet!
- Babyletto Pure Non-Toxic, Waterproof Crib Mattress – Getting a non-toxic mattress is SO important! Think of how many hours baby spends in his/her crib. This mattress has a firm side and a less firm side (I would not call it soft) so it can grow with baby.
- Angelcare Baby Bath Support – This bath is much smaller than others on the market. Babies can easily splash around and feel the water on their bum.
- Gorilla Grip Original Patented Bath, Shower Tub, Mat – Once baby transitions out of the Angelcare Bath, they will likely cruise around the bath on their own. This mat prevents them from sliding around.
- Skip Hop Moby Bath Tear-Free Waterfall Rinser – This is so fun! Water pours out like a waterfall and babies love it!

- Carseat Mirror – Cause you’ve gotta be able to see your sweet baby in the back seat!
- Uppababy MESA Carseat Base – The Uppababy MESA comes with a base – This is on the list because we’ve found it helpful to have an extra base to keep in Dad’s car and/or a sitter’s car in case of an emergency.
- Milksnob Infant Carseat Cover – This cover can be used to cover the carseat or as a nursing cover! We also use this to
- BOB Revolution Jogging Stroller – This jogger is amazing! If you’re a runner – I highly recommend getting a BOB. It is so easy to push and has a brake in case the jogger gets away from you going downhill. The seat is adjustable so baby can sit or lay in the jogger.
- Skip Hop Diaper Bag Backpack – This diaper bag backpack is stylish and practical. It has lots of pockets and zippers.
- Uppababy Vista Stroller – If you go with the Uppababy MESA carseat, you need a Uppababy Stroller. The carseat pops into the stroller so easily! Since joggers are intended for babies 6+ months, this stroller came in handy between months 1-6 when I needed to get out of the house or go on a walk. I actually bought my Uppababy stroller on Facebook marketplace (used) and we splurged and got the jogger we wanted new. It’s an option if you’re looking to save.
- Babo Botanicals Soothing Diaper Cream – This diaper cream WORKS and smells so good!
- Uppi Baby Wipes Dispenser – This wipes dispenser sits in the same basket as our diapers. It is more pleasing to the eye than a pack of wipes laying out.

- Earth’s Best TenderCare Chlorine-Free Disposable Diapers – These diapers are free of chlorine and perfumes. We tried Pampers Pure and found that these are much more absorbent and more affordable.
- Summer Infant Ultra Plush Changing Pad Cover, 2-pack – These changing pad covers are SO soft! These come in a pack of two – Trust me, you’ll be thankful you had two when baby pees all over the first one.
- Braun Ear Thermometer – This is great when baby is over a year old. Babies ears are too small under one for an ear thermometer – But this is one digital and quick!
- NailFrida Nail Clippers – Clipping a baby’s nails is so difficult! These nail clippers have a peep hole so you can ensure you are only clipping their nail.
- Red Cross Comb & Brush – This brush is super soft and perfect for those thin baby hairs!
- FridaBaby Nasal Aspirator – So many people recommended this product! I thought they were crazy – “You mean you suck snot out of your babies nose??” YES! And it’s extremely handy when baby has a cold! You NEED this – Trust me!
- Kindred Bravely Sleep Bra – This sleep bra is so comfy and soft! I highly recommend it!
- HOFISH 3-pack Seamless Bras – A three pack of bras for a steal of a deal! These bras are seamless and extremely comfortable!
- Always Extra-Heavy Overnight Pads – These pads are a must postpartum. Spritz them with some witch hazel and it definitely helps to relieve the pain and make mom as comfortable as she can be (given the circumstances).
- Always Discreet Boutique Postpartum Underwear – Some people can’t stomach wearing an adult diaper – I get it! But these underwear are higher-waisted and convenient (given everything that’s going on down there).
- Handheld Massager – This is great for husbands to massage their wife while she’s in labor. When their hands get tired – Hand them this massager and tell them to keep going!
- Seamless Nursing Cami – This has a built in bra, is extremely stretchy and comfortable.
That’s a wrap folks! I think this is the longest blog post I’ve ever written. I hope it comes in handy for an expecting mama!
I’m curious to hear – What are some MUST HAVE babies items you all recommend?
Thanks for stopping by, friends!

My must have is the Haakaa silicone breast pump. I don’t use it for pumping, instead I suction it to the side i am not feeding on in order to catch my let down. In 2 days I have collected over 20 oz of milk that otherwise wouldn’t have been wasted into a burp cloth!
So if someone is breastfeeding and not opposed to baby receiving breast milk from a bottle… it’s a total game changer.
